Perhaps it is a coincidence, but something crucial seems to disappear when you take the costume away. Indeed, a large part of this show is about his attempts to convince people how friendly and unthreatening he is, while wearing women's clothes. Slightly sweary, yes, but never very controversial. The second is that, although standup films like declaring themselves Outrageous! or Uncensored! or Transgressive! or whatever, Izzard has never been "unrepeatable" or anything of the kind. The first is that there cannot be a standup performance in British history that has been more frequently repeated. The setup: There are two reasons why it is misleading to call this show Unrepeatable.
